Become a Foster Home with STBTR

Give love. Save lives. Shape their future.
South Texas Boston Terrier Rescue (STBTR) relies on dedicated foster homes to give rescued dogs the safety, care, and love they need before finding forever families. These dogs may arrive unaltered, underweight, or struggling with undiagnosed allergies—and our fosters are often their very first moment of peace.

What to Expect

Dogs entering rescue may:
• Be unaltered and awaiting spay/neuter
• Show signs of malnourishment or poor nutrition
• Struggle with allergy symptoms or skin issues
• Arrive with housetraining-unknown, anxious, or confused

First steps:
• Give a warm bath and gentle health check
• Watch for bumps, discharge, limps, or behavior changes
• Share updates and clear photos to help match them with the right family

Time commitment:
Fosters may stay for as little as a week or up to six weeks or more, depending on their medical needs, temperament, and adoption readiness.
